The Chairman


chairman1Air Marshal (Retd)Denzil Keelor PVSM, AVSM, VrC, KCwas born on 7 December 1933 and went to school at St. Francis’ College, Lucknow and La Martiniere Lucknow. He joined the Indian Air Force on 6 November 1954 and rose to the rank of Air Marshal. Following his retirement he worked as the President of the YMCA for ten years. He was the chairman of Special Olympics Bharat.[2]  

Air Marshal (Retd)Denzil Keelor PVSM, AVSM, VrC, KC a hero of the Indo-Pakistani war. He was honoured with a number of medals including the Veer Chakra, the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, the Keerti Chakra and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.[1] He had a younger brother, Trevor, who was also honoured for his service in the Indian Air Force. Both brothers have a Veer Chakra for the same feat of shooting down a Sabre jet. This is the first time two brothers have received Veer Chakras for the same reason.[1]

Welcome to ‘The Frank Anthony Public School’ website, wherein one may browse through this particular site at leisure and be captivated with this renowned, prestigious, minority, unaided school in central Bengaluru founded by the late Mr. Frank Anthony. This school caters to almost 2500 students from various strata of society, providing quality education to the young minds and enriching them with a strong foundation in academics as well as extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The students imbibe and develop leadership skills and learn to contribute to the school community and society in various ways.

Kevin D. Pope a dedicated educationist with over three decades of teaching and school administration experience is presently the Principal of The Frank Anthony Public School, Bangalore.

Initially he served the ‘Congregation of Christian Brothers’, an Irish missionary organisation who have a number of reputed schools in India and across the globe. He began his teaching career at St. Vincent’s High and Technical School, situated in Asansol, West Bengal and served the institution in various capacities on the Managing Committee and administration for a period of 26 years.

In the year 2009, he assumed the role of Vice-Principal in The Frank Anthony Public School, Bangalore and subsequently was appointed the Principal. With over thirty-two years of experience in various domains of education, he firmly believes that imparting quality education to the youth of today is of paramount importance. He believes that holistic education lies beyond books and classroom teaching.

In his role as Principal, he possesses expertise in administration, curriculum design, assessment, evaluation and other administrative related skills. As an educationist and leader, he has a deep passion and desire to make a difference and change the lives of children. He encourages the teaching faculty to venture into newer territories to ensure the holistic growth and development of our youth to ultimately achieve academic excellence.

He earnestly exhorts all in the teaching profession to re-dedicate themselves to work zealously toward transforming the lives of children, inculcating moral values in these young minds and assisting them in their pursuit of academic excellence.

As a visionary, academician and committed leader, he envisages that the students of The Frank Anthony Public School become responsible, self-supporting citizens of tomorrow, being armoured and equipped to face the challenges and obstacles of the years ahead. This can only be accomplished with the change in mind-set of the teaching faculty and sincere dedication for the teaching profession. Through their proper guidance and assistance, the youth of today would definitely become the self-confident, iconic celebrities of tomorrow.

The Vice-Principal

FAPS Vice-PrinicipalMr. Edwin Flynn has been recently appointed as the Vice-Principal of The Frank Anthony Public School, Bangalore. Originally, Mr. Flynn hails from Kolkata and has almost twenty years of valuable teaching and administrative experience in the field of education.

While he has been a passionate and dedicated teacher, as an administrator, he has been firmly and resolutely result-oriented. He possesses a steadfast vision in the educational arena. His rich exposure and experience in the teaching profession over the years, has empowered him with a diverse innovative approach as an academic leader.

He is a strong believer of ‘teaching the child and not the subject’ which involves sincere devotion in the teaching profession, providing scope for innovative and creative learning strategies and critical analysis.

Mr. E. Flynn had recently spearheaded the Aditya Birla School, Kolkata as Vice-Principal and he took the school to greater heights during his tenure.

In his opinion, the goals of excellence in education can be achieved only with relentless dedication, determination and a sense of integrity and loyalty. Creating a conducive atmosphere for learning, promotes the all-round development of a child and thus contributes in making education distinct and meaningful.

A dynamic and sterling administrator and leader, he intends to contribute immensely in every sphere to the field of education and enrich the lives of students and teachers in the forthcoming years.


The FAPS Headmistress

FAPS HeadmistressMrs. Lorraine Briggs was born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh. After completing her B.A. and B.Ed. in English, she taught in several reputed schools before she moved into an administrative post as the Headmistress of the Frank Anthony Public School, Bangalore in 2010.

Dedicated and highly motivated, it has always been her dream to work in a challenging and dynamic environment and use her expertise for the growth of the working environment and students.

With almost 24 years of experience in teaching and administration of school activities, she has a proven track record of successfully managing resources and staff to improve educational services, thereby providing pupils and teachers with the best environment to achieve their potential.

During her teaching career she attended many courses and attained recognition as a resource person for the SMART PT –State wide massive and rigorous training for Primary Teachers in Mumbai.

Today, her enthusiasm, vision, drive and adaptability helps her co-ordinate and guide her staff and students.

The FAJS Headmistress

FAJS HeadmistressMrs. Catrina Hastings, M. Phil (Eng.), M.A., B.Ed., B.A., T.T.C., is presently The Headmistress of The Frank Anthony Junior School, Richmond Town, Bangalore-25.

She has worked as a teacher for almost 20 years. Her experience in the field of education ranges from Pre-Primary to High School. She has a keen interest in nurturing the all-around development of each student.

During her teaching career she attended and conducted many courses and attained recognition through an All India Animators course run by the Carmelite Nuns way back in the early nineties.

Today, her experience in the field helps her co-ordinate her vision through the able guidance she gives her staff and students.
