Labour Day

Labour Day

International Labour Day was celebrated in our school on the 1st of June with a special assembly held in honour of our diligent Support Staff. The Karnataka State Anthem was sung by the students, along with a special skit performed by the juniors to demonstrate the pivotal role that work plays in our lives and to instil a sense of deep respect for labourers.

Labour Day

The Support Staff of FAPS played a game of throwball. To top it all, they were given a well-deserved day off.

Fire Safety Display

Fire Safety Display

The Frank Anthony Public School takes important measures to ensure the safety of its students. Therefore, in January 2015, a display was organised in school to teach the students about fire safety and precautions. Several firemen and police officers came to our school, equipped with their fire extinguishers, water hoses and fire-trucks.

They showed us many ways to put out various kinds of fires. This proved to be very helpful as they clarified many of the students’ misconceptions. They explained the different types of fires that occur, when to throw a blanket over the fire and when to pour water on it instead. They used their water hose to show the extent with which they can extinguish fires and told the students which numbers to call in the event of a fire.

To conclude, they provided a very educational and entertaining afternoon for the students, who will now be better equipped to deal with a crisis situation.
